LED boreal brewing

This was a Christmas project for my little bro. Using an old beam of Douglas fir which I removed from the basement (and people thought it was load bearing...pffff), I ripped it down to make the housing for the NEON LED lights. The housing is actually three pieces of Douglas Fir joined together with CNC'd butterfly wood joints. You can see them if you squint. The lights were extremely bright, so a dimmer was needed. Made the dimmer housing out of a piece of poplar borrowed from the dumpster.

LED mountainscape

been a couple years since making the boreal brewing sign. that combined with the fact that i'd salvaged many shortish lengths of 2x4's had me thinking. maybe i should make another sign. this is the end result. I've shown a photo also of the back with the cover removed. the guts so to speak.

shadow box(es)

various shadow boxes. these boxes are not my designs, but i look forward to making my own designs in the future.

i built the boxes so that the designs can easily be interchanged, depending on the season. the back is being held on by removable shelf brackets for easy access.
