canoe paddle diddley bow

just realizing how many things i 'attempt' to make as christmas gifts. this is one of them. the pickup is the coil from a 24V relay, and it turned out much better than initially thought. looking back on it now, there are certainly things i would do differently if i were to attempt this again. you better believe that's a paddlin'

lap steel guitar

my attempt at a lap steel. not terrible, but not great. fun to make weird sounds with... like blowing on a belly.

stomp box

stomp box using an old license plate and a bass guitar pickup. the metal licence plate induces a voltage into the coils of the pickups for a kick drum-esque sound.
